Sohum means identifying oneself with the universe or ultimate reality, which means that we and the universe are one. Therefore to heal and grow we have everything within us to grow within. As huma beings we sometimes need a little help and small reminders, and this is where Sohum holistic living comes in.

Meet the founder, Dr Akashni. Dr Akashni is a Psychologist, Author, Yoga teacher, Reiki master, Firewalk Instructor, a mother, a wife, and entrepreneur. She has discovered during her many years of being a therapist and a seeker of spiritual enlightenment, that the word seeking should be removed from any spiritual travellers dictionary. What she has realised, whilst doing her PHD on alternate approaches to treatment of the mind-body-psyche was that every person has the resources within them to heal thyself, grow thyself and Love thy Self. Founder of the Love Thy Self blog series, she has embarked on a journey to educate anyone she meets, whether in therapy or outside, on the gifts they possess within to heal themselves and to grow from within. The Sohum holistic store came about as she was using resources, to heal herself and grow as a person in mind-body and in spirit. She realised that a holistic lifestyle was far more important and necessary for every person walking on this planet. So why not use mother nature’s tool box. But wait for it! The most important tool of all is the use of our own mind, heart and soul. To align all three, an important factor is necessary and that is INTENTION. The Sohum Holistic store aims to bring your INTENTION alive through the introduction of a unique toolbox to get you started and help guide you towards self growth, taking you on the most beautiful journey of healing, growing and evolving.
