Welcome to Aloha Life, the home of Kahuna massage in South Africa.
Founded by Anthea Hardwick in 1998, the centre has been offering Kahuna massage to thousands of individuals around South Africa as well as offering authentic and world class retreats and trainings teaching this ancient Hawaiian bodywork. Anthea began her love affair with Kahuna massage in Australia in 1997 studying under highly respected teacher, Mette Sorensen. The humble beginnings of the Aloha Life Centre shortly thereafter were fuelled by her own healing of chronic fatigue syndrome and a clear calling to share this profoundly healing bodywork with anyone interested. The joy and privilege continues with the Aloha Life Centre growing into a vibrant collaboration of 7 gifted bodyworkers with a common vision, to spread the Aloha Spirit and this sacred, Hawaiian bodywork throughout Africa and the world, making a positive difference one heart and beautiful being at a time.

DEEP TISSUE SPIRITUAL RELEASE	A 2 hour session focusing on releasing areas of physical, energetic & emotional blockages & tension. Deep tissue release work is effective for tight, locked bodies & for times when one feels stuck, frustrated & wanting to break free in your body & life. Feel a greater sense of freedom & power as old habits & patterns are stripped away allowing you to reconnect to your authentic self & to new, infinite possibilities in the now. Deep & powerful when depth is needed for renewal & release.
POLYNESIAN FLOOR TREATMENT	With more specific focus on mobilizing joints & stimulating energy to flow freely along all of the meridian lines, this nurturing & energizing session happens fully clothed on a comfortable floor mat. Deeply relaxing for the nervous system especially in situations of high stress & trauma.
KAHUNA FACIAL SESSION	Using Frankincense oil to enhance the tonifying, anti-aging and deeply relaxing benefits of this rejuvenating deep facial work, the session also stimulates balance and healing of the hormonal, glandular and nervous systems.
KAHUNA PREGNANCY MASSAGE	During pregnancy a womans body undergoes many changes, some can be stressful & uncomfortable. BONE WASHING SKELETAL MASSAGE	Ancient Hawaiians believed that we store our oldest memories & cherished wounds in the bones, not only our old memories but the memories of our ancestors. This treatment involves working with a light touch into the periosteum (the sheath of fascia surrounding the bones) to release memories that may be causing pain (physically, mentally or emotionally). HOT STONE KAHUNA MASSAGE	The addition of heated stones (Pohaku) to a flowing Kahuna massage is pure magic. The stones are grounding and deeply calming for the nervous system. The heat penetrates and softens tense muscles. Circulation is improved to assist you to keep warm in winter as well as aiding digestion, metabolism and sleep.
MANA CARD READINGS	Mana Card Reading draws on ancient Hawaiian wisdom to give new insights and to bring clarity to any situation. The cards offer interpretations of our life circumstances through teachings from Hawaiian mythical gods and goddesses, through the power of the elements and from the animal kingdom.

From a young age I have had a deep love for travel and adventure. After completing a degree in Psychology, I literally took to the seas travelling around Europe and Australia on various yachts and living in the Brazilian Amazon for several months. In my early twenties, a health crisis led me to embark on an entirely different adventure, one of self healing and intense personal growth. This adventure included studying reflexology, various massage modalities, nutrition and becoming a reiki master.

It was on one of many travels abroad that I experienced the healing power of Kahuna massage firsthand and began the adventure of a lifetime. In 1996, I was fortunate that serendipity and destiny led meto internationally renowned teacher, Mette Sorensen.

I have completed 7 levels of instruction with her. This life changing and fateful beginning led to the conception of the Aloha Life Centre in Durban, South Africa in 1998 and has facilitated me the privilege of sharing Kahuna with thousands of clients and students alike throughout the country.
