I’m Irish by birth.

I’m a qualified chef with over 25 years’ experience. I’ve worked in some top class establishments all over the world, including North America, South East Asia, Europe & now sunny South Africa. I’ve worked in a range of restaurants from small family run cafes to Michelin Star Restaurants.

Food and cooking has always been my passion, from a very young age, when my granny taught me to cook. I really enjoy teaching and in particular teaching healthy, easy cooking and lifestyle choices. I run, amongst other things a healthy cooking school for kids, were we teach knowledge of healthy eating and nutrition to the younger generation. I also run a lot of courses for adults on detoxing and healthy eating habits. I love to travel and especially to enjoy the cuisines of other countries and cultures which I incorporate in my cooking and teachings.

I studied Herbal Medicine and have a degree in the European Herbal Tradition, which includes Iridology has our diagnostic tool. This has now become a true passion of mine and I believe that your eyes are the gateway to your soul. I am actively involved in corporate wellness days, and see private iridology clients at FiXiT Health Hub.
I have also extensively studied massage therapies and energy healing therapies.

2010 Heavy Weight San-Shou Full Contact Champion

I 2007, I started training with the legendary Sifu Frank at Shaolin Martial Arts Centre. After looking at various other Kung Fu schools, and other martial arts schools, I was quick to come to the conclusion that SMAC’s training, and it’s Master was the best around. In 2010 I became Heavy Weight San-Shou Full Contact Champion, and continue to train under the best in the business, learning invaluable lessons about the art and myself along the way. My journey of training has been so powerful and impactful in other area’s of my life, that I took upon the privilege and responsibility of teaching, and sharing this wonderful experience with my students.

Grant Woollatt
Shaolin Martial Arts Center Owner & Instructor

Grant started his training in 2000 under Grand Master Leo Sebregts and later moved to Si-fu Frank. Grant runs the Northcliff branch and Fontainebleau branch of the Shaolin Martial Arts Centre. Grant instructs the Senior, Tiger, Tai-Chi and Sparring classes. He has received his first Dan in Chinese Wu-shu through the Chinese Wu-shu Association and has competed locally in full contact sparring and internationally in Wu-shu forms. Grant has also completed the certification as a San-Shou line judge in 2007 under the Wu-shu Federation of South Africa.

George

George has been training for over 20 years. He started his training under Grand Master Leo Sebregts in 1998 and later moved to his son Si-fu Frank. George has been instructing for most of his martial art career and is a senior instructor with in the school. George currently runs the tai-chi classes at the Fontainbleau branch.

This is achieved by the growth that occurs within oneself in accordance with where you are in your own life and your individual needs.

This point is only reached by working on oneself, and therefore not trying to control our outer circumstances (that which is out of our control) but by healing ourselves. Often by just being aware of specific facts surrounding a situation, we can both surrender to and control the situation at hand simultaneously.

You do not need to meditate on a mountaintop to reach a point of absolute neutrality and peace. This is achievable in a fast-paced life that we find ourselves subscribing to. Let me help you to get there!
